How kewl is that and, why is it important? SEO baby!!!! The content that appears in your tags is used to generate search engine results and browser bookmark names. Since this information is often truncated when viewed., having the title of your page listed before the name of your blog/site is beneficial because it provides more meaningful search engine results and browser bookmark names.
